The Business Advisory Centre (BAC) of the Akuapem South Municipal had a 2-day managerial skills training for the students of the Akuapem Vocational Technical Institute together with the Akropong BAC Head. The training was to enlighten, prepare and equip the students, especially those in their second year, toward their internship during their vacation which was imminent.
The training which took place at their assembly hall began on the 4th of September and ended on the 5th of September, 2023. They were enlightened on how to start a business and the business opportunities available to them, the attitude an intern has to portray at the workplace, how to sustain a small scale business and financial literacy, legalities about business partnerships and grant opportunities available for them. They also had the opportunity to be taken through a workshop to practically understand what they had been theoretically taught and were engaged in a series of group presentations to harness their entrepreneurial potential.
Miss Priscilla Maame Asabea Simpeh, the BAC Head for Akuapem South Municipal took turns with the Akuapem North BAC Head, Mrs. Gifty Marian Ohemaa Kyere to encourage the students to have the entrepreneurial mindset by starting small with the trainings they have received from school and practically improve upon such trainings by interning some more.
The students after the 2-day training together with the management of their school expressed their gratitude to the BAC heads for showing up and giving the students the needed skills for their internship and for business.
