The commissioning of 1No. 6-unit classroom block with office, staff common room, store, 4-seater KVIP and 3-unit urinal was commissioned at Gyankama for use on the 20th of September, 2024.
Dignitaries present were Hon. O. B. Amoah (MP), Hon. Frank Aidoo (MCE), Municipal Education Director, Chiefs, Opinion Leaders, the Assemblyman, Clergymen of the Methodist Church and teachers.
The construction of the classroom block which was started in February, 2014 at a point repacked and completed in August, 2024. It was finally executed by Jilcom Construction Ltd with funding from the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF)-(Special Project).
The MCD also challenged all to actively get involved in this exercise so that next year, the district will be mentioned as the leader in the planting exercise and to restore the once enviable cool weather.
The MCE admonished the Education Directorate to take good care of the new facility and ensure minor repair works are carried out timeously to ensure conducive learning environment for effective learning.
The teachers and students gathered thanked the Assembly for the construction and promised to make good use of the facility.
