The Social welfare and Community Development Department of the Assembly engaged with the Aged at the Aburi on the 27th January, 2025.
Issues discuss were centered around their new year program outline, health and wellness, importance of them staying connected to their family and loved ones and focusing on their personal growth.
There were a total number of 42 participants who were all women from the Aburi township.
The interaction afforded them the opportunity to ask questions which were appropriately and adequately answered. They also pleaded for the department to consider them for support when the opportunity arises.
The director, Mrs Jessie Linda Dzokoto and her assistant Mrs. Matilda Esinam Tawiah and other staff members took them through the various sessions with the aid of flash cards.
