SHS on the Ridge Meet at Aburi Girls for Education Fair

2025 Third General Assemblt Meeting As part of the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council’s efforts to provide a platform for students to explore academic opportunities, skills development, and career pathways, the Council organised the third Educational Fair for the year 2026 for all final-year students in second-cycle institutions within the Akuapim South Municipality and parts of Akuapim North Municipality on 26th March 2026.

The programme was held at the Assembly Hall of Aburi Girls’ Senior High School. A total of five schools were present, namely: Aburi Girls’ Senior High School, Adonten Senior High School, Aburi Presbyterian Senior High Technical School, Diaspora Girls’ Senior High School, and Mampong Presbyterian School for the Deaf.

Speaking on behalf of the Eastern Regional Minister, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Akuapim South Municipal Assembly, Honourable Paul Osae Offei, stated that the decisions students make regarding their education today will greatly influence their future career paths. He therefore urged them to remain focused and purposeful in their academic pursuits. He also encouraged the students not to be swayed by trends or external pressures, but rather to choose paths that align with their abilities and aspirations.

Some selected tertiary institutions, namely All Nations University, Ashesi University, Koforidua Technical University, the University of Environment and Sustainable Development, and Presbyterian University, were invited to introduce students to the various programmes available to them and to offer guidance in charting career paths that would suit their future aspirations.

The fair provided a valuable platform for students to interact directly with representatives from various tertiary institutions, equipping them with the information needed to make informed decisions about their future education and careers.
