The Spatial Planning Committee of the Akuapim South Municipal Assembly held a meeting on 8th April, 2026 at the Municipal Assembly Hall. The meeting was chaired by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Paul Osae Offei, with Mr. Isaac Odjao serving as Secretary.
The Committee reviewed twenty-three (23) development applications submitted through the Technical Sub-Committee. All applications were approved, with none deferred or rejected. Notably, three (3) of the approved applications had been carried over from previous meetings.
The approvals covered a range of developments, including:
1 Temporary Structure
2 Commercial Buildings
8 Fence Wall Projects
12 Residential Buildings
The Committee reaffirmed its commitment to promoting orderly, compliant, and sustainable land use across the Municipality. It also emphasized the importance of continued collaboration among relevant departments and stakeholders to ensure effective spatial planning and development control.
The Committee entreated developers and residents to kindly be reminded to undertake the necessary due diligence and secure all required approvals before commencing any building projects, to ensure alignment with spatial planning regulations and avoid future enforcement actions.
