The Social Welfare and Community Development Department has been mandated to monitor the activities of all the various NGOs registered within the municipality.
The Ghana Initiative Mobile Medical Mission (GIMMM) in their annual project for 2021 collaborated with the Department to mount mobile clinics in some selected communities in the Akuapim South Municipality to diagnose indigenes and give them free medicals.
